I have held
my current position as Sculpture Program Head at Bowling Green
State University for the past twelve years and have been a highly
productive sculptor for more than fifteen years. My work has
been extensively exhibited throughout the country from New Hampshire
to Minnesota and Ohio to Florida. Evidence as to the quality
of my work is easily demonstrated by solo exhibitions at established
galleries, as well as participation in competitive shows being
juried by such prominent figures as Ivan Karp, Director, O.K.
Harris, New York, Chicago's own, Richard Hunt, Michael Dunbar,
Co-curator of the Navy Pier Show, Chicago, Paul J. Smith, Director
Emeritus, American Craft Museum, New York, and Brooke Barrie,

Shawn Morin has a B.F.A. from the University of Tampa, and a
M. F. A. from the
University of Georgia. He has been the Sculpture Program Head
at Bowling Green
State University for the past twelve years.
He says: (My) most current work (within the past seven
years) establishes itself as
that which attends to the body, mind, and soul. The body being
of course, the figure,
the mind being an architectural metaphor, and the soul as being
the inspired word of
God, from which most of my latest work is extrapolated.
Shawn's work is represented by Button Gallery, Douglas. |
