Silvio DiGiusti Historically mankind has always erected monuments to mark or commemorate events. In my work I try to create images that evoke references to ancient stones, columns or funerary markers. I am interested in the images and symbols depicted in a "Stela" similar to those of the ancient Maya. My column has figurative elements such as a human head, a hand and the fragment of a female figure. There are suggestions on the surface of meandering rivers anthropological markings and geological erosions on our planet. |
