He received a BA in Visual Arts from Hope College, and was a Stanley Harrington Art Scholar. Young states, “As a stone sculptor my vision is to release forms in natural stone, working with the material and my creative vision to capture the essence of each piece I carve. As a resident of Minnesota and a native Midwesterner, I am interested in the natural history of the Great Lakes. Much of my work to date focuses on birds and fish native to this region.” Bryan’s private work can be seen at Hope College in Holland, MI.
