Billie Clark • Holland, MI Art 'Round Town: 2004 Billie studied art at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, the School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston, Massachusetts, and the University of Texas at Austin. She enjoys working in clay for casting in bronze or aluminum; ceramics and pottery; and built-up cement. Her sculpture is primarily figurative. Artist’s Statement The roll of artists is often to be on the cutting edge, to challenge the complacent and pique the establishment. And so it was with myself years ago. Now I am happy when I see a smile on the face of the viewer. If 1 can bring a bit of joy or delight to my audience, I am satisfied.
